our
values
According to researcher Dr. Brené Brown, shame and fear are universal problems that unravel connection and cripple society. In her studies, Brené came across people that stood out from the crowd and referred to them as the wholehearted.
This is what set them apart:
-
Courage
-
Formed from the Latin root word “cor” which means heart, courage originally meant
-
to tell the story of who you are with your whole heart. The wholehearted had the courage to tell their story and not numb the difficult realities of their lives.
-
Compassion
-
The wholehearted have the compassion to be kind to themselves first and then to others. They accept the truth that one can’t practice compassion with others if they don't first know how to treat themselves kindly (Galatians 5:14).
-
Connection
-
Wholehearted people have connection as a result of authenticity. They are willing to let go of who they think they should be in order to be who they are. This is absolutely necessary for true connection.

We believe these 3 C's are made possible by the following underpinning values:
-

-
Worthiness
-
The studies revealed that the wholehearted people had a strong sense of belonging because they believed that they were worthy of love and belonging - that's it.
-
(Psalm 139:13-14)
-
Vulnerability
-
The wholehearted shed light on imperfections and traumatic experiences that produce fear, guilt, and shame, so that the numbing cycle may end and joy, creativity, love, and belonging may begin to take root. (2 Corinthians 12:9)
-
God's Grace
-
God's grace is simple but hard to wrap our minds around. His grace is a gift that can't be earned. It is a promise for redemption, new life, and freedom. It's a promise for true identity, justice, courage, connection, love, and belonging.
-
-
It's God's grace that mends the heart and makes it whole.
-
-
-
Fully wholehearted people live a life of abundant freedom because they can rest in the Truth that their battle has been fought and won by God who came in flesh as the Man Jesus Christ. They can BE REAL because they know they are loved and that there is nothing they can lose. They know the end of story. There is victory.

-
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and you are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

(Romans 10:9-10).
